A Lonely Isle

Creative Direction & Soundtrack for a unique podcast/spoken-word essay about a tiny island in the North Atlantic.

A Lonely Isle is an audio collection of anecdotes about Rockall, a remote island in the Atlantic ocean. Each chapter is based on accounts written by visitors over the last two hundred years.

It’s a podcast/spoke-word essay written by Matthew Sheret, produced by Ann Scantlebury, featuring the voice of Matt Addis. As Creative Director, I worked with Matt and Ann on what form the project would take, its art direction, web presence and digital distribution.

I also composed the soundtrack, which features five pieces of music recorded at my studio in Derbyshire with players from Sinfonia Viva.
