Shane Thomas – Without A Lion

Shane and I spent two days developing his compositions for this EP. Two of them had been recorded previously for Decca on a grand piano. However, Shane wanted to explore the intimate sound of my felted Steinbach piano and as such those pieces were tweaked to make the most of it.

I was astounded by Shane’s dexterity, and recording such detailed and quiet music was a brilliant challenge.
